This Privacy Policy describes how we process the personal data of users of the Seldora application (hereinafter: the "Service"), available at app.seldora.ai.

1. Data Controller

The data controller is a natural person operating the Seldora Service. Contact the controller at: contact@seldora.ai.

2. Personal Data Collected

In the course of using the Service, we process the following categories of personal data:

Account data: email address, display name
Birth data: date of birth, time of birth (optional), city of birth, and geographic coordinates (obtained via geocoding)
Chat data: content of messages exchanged with the AI chat
AI memories: information that the AI system autonomously stores based on conversations to personalize future interactions
Uploaded files: images, PDF documents, and other files uploaded within the chat
Analytics data: anonymized usage data (e.g., pages visited, session duration, interaction patterns), collected only with your consent via the cookie banner

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the following legal bases:

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): the user consents to the processing of personal data, including birth data, chat content, and AI memories, upon registration and use of the Service.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): processing necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the Service, its security, and protection against abuse.

4. Purposes of Processing

We process personal data for the following purposes:

AI chat personalization: tailoring chatbot responses based on the user's profile, memories, and conversation history
Astrological calculations: generating natal charts, transits, and moon phases based on birth data
Account management: authentication, authorization, and user account administration
Service improvement: analyzing usage patterns to improve the application (only with user consent)

5. Data Processors

To provide the Service, we use the following data processors:

Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Firestore (database), Cloud Run (microservices), Firebase Auth (authentication), Firebase Storage (file storage), Vertex AI Gemini (AI model)
Google Maps Geocoding API: conversion of birth city name to geographic coordinates
Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics): anonymized usage analytics, enabled only with user consent

All listed services are provided by Google LLC and are subject to Google Cloud's data protection standards.

6. Data Location

Data is stored in the europe-west4 region (Netherlands, European Union). In the event of data processing outside the European Economic Area, Google's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are applied to ensure an adequate level of personal data protection.

7. Data Retention

Personal data is retained until the user deletes their account. Upon account deletion, a full cascading deletion of all user data is performed, including: profile data, chat history, messages, AI memories, and uploaded files.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Right of access — you may obtain information about your processed personal data
Right to rectification — you may correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Right to erasure — you may delete your account and all associated data directly in the application (Settings → Account)
Right to data portability — you may export your data in a structured format directly in the application (Settings → Account)
Right to restriction of processing — you may request the restriction of data processing
Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interest
Right to withdraw consent — you may withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal
Right to lodge a complaint — you may file a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland

9. Cookies

The Service uses functional cookies necessary for the proper operation of the application. With your consent (via the cookie banner), analytics cookies (Firebase Analytics) are also used to help us improve the Service. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

10. Age Requirement

The Service is intended solely for individuals aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly process data of individuals below this age. If we determine that a user does not meet the age requirement, their account will be deleted.
